prepositions of place and movement:
A/ place:
- at : he is at the door/ we live at number 12.
- in : the students are in the classroom/he puts his hand in his Pocket.
- on : the bag is on the desk/the books are on the shelf.
- near : our school is near our house.
- beside : he sits beside me.
- over : the plane flies over the houses.
- in front of : the car is in front of the house.
- opposite : the shop is opposite the station.
- Under : the cat is under the table.
- above : our office is above the hairdresser's.
- below : the kitchen is below my bedroom.
- among : he is among the players to play in the match.
- Next to : my neighbour is the person who lives next to my house.

NB: 1/we can use in for the time it takes to complete something:
ex: I did the crossword in five minutes.
2/we can use in for a future time measured from the present.
ex: the photo will be ready in 10 minutes.(10 minutes from now).
